Wonderful weekend at the cozy lodge. Hiking trails lead from the lodge to waterfalls and huge, mossy trees. Large grassy grounds with gazebo for kids to run. Take a boat out on the lake in the summer.
We stayed in the lodge itself (Around $130 off-season in 2009), so we could put our child to sleep in the room and then sneak out with the monitor to have a drink in the lobby. To save money, we packed food for breakfast, lunch, and snacks, and then splurged for one delicious dinner (and wine) at the lodge restaurant.
